Mango Sorbet

This vibrant, silky sorbet captures the rich sweetness of ripe mangoes with a bright citrus finish. Taking the time to strain the purée ensures a smooth texture and a spoonful of pure tropical sunshine in every bite.


Ingredients:
  • 4 ripe mangoes
  • 1 cup simple syrup
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice

Instructions:
  1. Prepare the mangoes:
    Peel and pit the mangoes, then cut into chunks.
  2. Purée:
    Blend the mango flesh in a food processor until smooth. You should have about 3½ cups of purée.
  3. Mix:
    Stir in the simple syrup and lemon juice. Taste and adjust for sweetness or acidity, if needed.
  4. Strain:
    Push the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any fibers or pulp for a silky, smooth sorbet base.
  5. Freeze:
    Pour the strained mixture into the bowl of your Whynter ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve scoops of mango sorbet with fresh berries, a sprig of mint, or in a hollowed-out mango shell for a stunning tropical presentation.
