Vanilla Bean & Honey Frozen Yogurt

If you’re after a frozen treat that’s creamy, naturally sweetened, and bursting with real vanilla flavor, this Vanilla Bean & Honey Frozen Yogurt is your go-to. Using whole milk yogurt ensures a rich, smooth texture that’s hard to beat — or try making your own with our Homemade Yogurt Recipe for that extra touch of freshness.

Ingredients:

  • 4 ounces plain whole milk yogurt (Use plain whole-milk yogurt for the creamiest texture—or make your own with our Homemade Yogurt Recipe!)
  • 1 vanilla bean, scraped
  • 1/3 cup honey

Directions:

  1. Warm the honey gently on the stove — just enough to loosen it so it mixes easily.
  2. In a bowl, stir together the yogurt and honey until smooth and well combined.
  3. Split the vanilla bean pod lengthwise and scrape out the tiny seeds with the back of a dull knife. Add the seeds to the yogurt mixture and stir well.
  4. Pour the mixture into your Whynter ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. Enjoy immediately for a soft-serve texture, or ripen in the freezer for a firmer consistency.

Pro tip: Using the whole vanilla bean, rather than extract, gives a richer, more authentic flavor and those beautiful vanilla flecks that look as good as they taste.
